My Story
I have loved jewelry all my life! I didn’t realize when I was young and in school that a career in the jewelry arts was a possibility and one that would enable me to combine my love of beautiful pieces, sparkling gems, and shiny metals with a business that would make people happy while supporting me. Eventually, my desire to create overcame my“daytime” career and I began to make jewelry during the evenings and on weekends. I wanted to be different than all the other jewelry crafters I saw at various shows and galleries, so my initial focus was in working with pearls of all types. After all, a woman can wear pearls with clothing from ballgowns to jeans, and I have always loved the simple elegance of pearl jewelry. As I grew in skills and knowledge, I set up a studio complete with jewelry bench and began to make and sell my pieces at local craft shows and via word of mouth. I added a kiln, torch and other professional equipment and expanded my craft into working with precious metals. Today I make and sell a variety of types of jewelry with my love of pearls still being incorporated into many of the pieces. From one-of-a-kind to bridal, my jewelry hopefully makes the wearer happy!
